About Us
What is Folkuria?
Folkuria is a vibrant international folk festival born from the fusion of three essential elements: Folklore + Cultura + Alegría. Its name reflects its spirit, a celebration of roots, living traditions, and the cultural identity of peoples from around the world.
Celebrated in honor of World Folklore Day on August 22, Folkuria brings together artists, folkloric groups, and cultural leaders to share their heritage through music, dance, ancestral knowledge, and authentic traditions.
More than a festival, Folkuria is an intercultural gathering that celebrates heritage, unity, and pride. It is Miami’s only international folk festival officially approved by CIOFF® USA, an official partner of UNESCO.
Folkuria: Folklore + Cultura + Alegría
¡El folclor nos une! • Folklore brings us together!
The People Behind Folkuria
